Service: Bracket Installation for Low Hanging Wires
Problem:
The incoming aerial mains for this home in Narrabeen was issued with a defect for being too low over a newly constructed deck.
Solution:
After receiving dispensation to leave the point of attachment on the deck area the mains needed to be raised to a legal clearance height. The mains were temporarily relocated, the existing stand off bracket was cut away and a new galvanized strut was fitted and secured to the structure. The mains cables were re attached and a new barge fuse fitted. The new clearance height achieved was a 3.1M and is 400MM above the lowest allowable height over a deck. Power was re energized and all compliance paper work completed.
